Print making...a new adventure!

I'll blame this one on Ed and his recent adventure in launching "The Merry Inksters". While I don't seem to be able to focus on one media for very long, there's no mystery to why this blog is entitled MIXED MEDIA, and perhaps it's time to embrace it rather than worry about it. Perhaps someday one will prevail, but until then painting, sculpture, jewelry making, sewing, quilting, book making, and now print making will capture my imagination. So today, I launched into linoleum block prints! After receiving my first set of blocks in the mail, within an hour I was carving and printing my first print! I hastily (no surprise) plunged into carving, then ran into town to purchase a sharper tool, then continued on. Not a bad start and so much to learn!
